Viral marketing has long been a recreational pursuit of mine. I’ve posted about politicians blubbering rambles and balloon boy’s hoax hi jinx but never about cats.
This week on BuzzFeed I experienced the power of cats. Around 8 o’clock in the morning I posted something called “60 Seconds Of Cat Confusion” and had no intentions of it being selected by their editors. I should have known better. 48 hours later this particular post has gained almost 25,000 views and nearly 40 responses. I’ve tried hard to craft good viral posts or cleverly worded political commentaries but failed to really harness the power of cats.
