So this morning I came into work, ready to send out a few glorious Twitter messages that would really cement my hilarity and charisma but to my dismay… Twitter’s server is down, or Twitter is down, or the world is going to end!

I frantically checked again and again but could get no positive results. So I stumbled across this: http://status.twitter.com.

Then I came across this article on Mashable: http://mashable.com/2009/08/06/twitter-down/.

So how long will it be? It’s already been at least 45 minutes. Will this be it for Twitter? Will everyone open their eyes and see a world available to them beyond 140 characters?

TwitterTwitter’s extended downtime today, now lasting almost 2 hours, has a malicious cause. Twitter has revealed that it’s defending against a Distributed
