My story is unique. I started out as a student activist which inadvertently led me to become a publisher. This led me to three formidable years with a nonprofit organization, The 1010 Project. The connections and experience I gained there were critical to my development as a web designer and online activist.
Recently I’ve had the privilege to pursue work with multiple businesses and nonprofits. I’ve spent time developing their online presence and working to create a consistent brand. Through these experiences I developed a passion for brand strategies and campaign-centered websites.
Through my travels and interactions with people I’ve come to realize that no matter where you go, people are people. My story may be unique, but it is tightly woven within other individual’s stories. My abilities as a web developer are used to tell and broadcast the stories of the people I have met.
These are projects and concepts I’ve worked on with the people I’ve met [Click an image to link to the home or build page]:
I spent 2 years developing a complete online and offline communications strategy for The 1010 Project. This is the most copmlete example of the breadth and depth of my work with nonprofit organizations. |
As a pro bono service I developed a platform for Elias Fund in a time of crisis. They work primarily in Zimbabwe and wanted a platform to launch campaigns and inform their constituents. |
This was a quick cut and splice project I did with the guys over at Brandswag. They gave me a PSD file and I coded it into functional CSS and HTML. |
This project is much like the Brandswag one to the left, however, there was more complex coding I had to do with Javascript and jQuery. |
