As Twitter continues to be the nation’s fastest growing social media platform, people are finding out different ways to customize their profile pages. Sure there is the opportunity to select any one of the twelve pre made backgrounds but who wants to settle for those when you have the option to customize?
It’s important because it makes your Twitter home page look much more effective and unique. I started by experimenting with my own home page background.
This was the first background I created (inspired from an iPhoto screenshot) and since I have moved on, check it out: @markwmann.

I am excited about the opportunity to provide “home-made” backgrounds to Twitter “friends” at no cost and invite them to contact me.
There are only a few stipulations:
1. Send me an image you would like me to use of yourself that is about 3000 pixels wide.
2. You are not centered in the image. I prefer that you would be left of center.
3. The image is zoomed out and not a tightly cropped photo.
Check out this image to get a better idea of what I’m looking for:
This is one I did for @timbrauhn .
I did a few for nonprofits, check them out here: @the1010project & @africaid.
Utilize this form to get in touch with me about your own shiny custom twitter background.
